During the past 2 years with the constant lock downs, I have been away with the fairies!
Well, much better than feeling sorry for myself or to spend too much time worrying!
It all began with wanting to create a vegetable patch. The ground was too hard and I am not the youngest and was unable to dig it myself.
At our local vegetable shop I spied a huge mountain of polystyrene containers that were destined for land fill.
A light went on in my head!
I could create planters out of them! So using outdoor wood glue and filler and odd scraps of material I began creating.
It was so rewarding taking something that was destined to be destroyed and give it a loving makeover. I created many planters but instead of planting vegetables as I had intended, I planted flowers. The planters are completely weatherproof by the way!
The journey was well and truly underway.After creating numerous planters I recycled old plastic flower pots and made them beautiful. Plastic bottles were transformed into magical Fairy Houses. In fact lots and lots of Fairy Houses!

One thing led to another! I was born near Stonehenge and have a real connection with standing stones and Ley lines. Each 'stone' is unique and as the wood glue dried it created wonderful cracks and little holes. I covered a glass tea light holder that can be moved about.
For those unable to visit the stones, this is a fabulous altar piece to celebrate the solstices.

Using my scrap polymer clay, I created animals, faces, birds, feathers and leaves.Each plaque is TOTALLY UNIQUE. Even if I wished to, I could not create the same again. These are all weatherproof so can be displayed indoors or outdoors.

What a truly magical journey this is turning out to be!
I have used large pieces of polystyrene for the plaques. The odd offcuts create fabulous little rocks and tree trunks.

I hear the animals call out to us. So many species are endangered due to pollution or the greed of some human beings. The gentle Pangolin, the Polar Bear, the mighty Lions and Tigers. Elephants and Rhinos slaughtered for their horns and trunks.
The air, seas and rivers are polluted.
WHAT WE DO TO THE EARTH AND THE ANIMALS. WE DO TO OURSELVES.
This plaque is to honour them and hopfully remind humans that WE ARE ALL CONNECTED.
I am constantly creating as new ideas come to me.
As I mentioned each single creation is
TOTALLY UNIQUE.
If something takes your eye, I can create something similar.
Eventually I will create a shop here on the website. (Not sure how to do that yet LOL)
